    Our vision at Ethiopian Building Child-girl Hope for Economic Sustainability (EBCHES) is - To give girls hope by promoting the rights, health, and well-being of girls.

    • Changing young girls’ mentality from “can’t do it” to “can do it.” • Creating an environment where girls can have a voice in economic, political and cultural issues. • Develop activities so that girls empowerment activities boost their self-esteem and allow them to participate on an equal platform as their male counterparts.

    As our name indicates (Ethiopians Building Child-girl Hope for Economic Sustainability, we aspire to provide the ingredients to develop capabilities to empower girls to be economical self-sufficient. Many girls suffer from hopelessness.

    We want to give a hope to girls that when girls are empowered — when she decides when to get an education, when to get married, when to start a family, and what’s best for her health, then the world stands to gain. Believe and you can.

When girls are educated, healthy, and empowered, families are healthier. According to UNESCO, 2.1 million children under age 5 were saved between 1990 and 2009 because of improvements in girls’ education.

Educated girls have hope
Research from the Brookings Institution has found that every additional year of school increases a girls’ eventual wages by an average of 12% – earnings she invests back into her family. Empowered, educated girls have healthier, better educated children and higher wages – helping to break the cycle of poverty.
WHAT WE DO
The main purpose of the Ethiopians Building Child-girl Hope for Economic Sustainability is to develop support system for needy and helpless girls in the community to establish sustainable livelihood by doing the following:
1 Develop capacity building programs for girls
2. Organize technology skills development to empower girls 3. Organize community events that promote gender equality 4. Coordinate community activities that inspires girls
5. Develop community education sessions to offer basic skills to girls
6. Coordinate sponsorship for local girls to purchase school items
7. Source funding to provide to girls’ personal needs
8. Communicate with local community leaders about the needs of girls
9. Provide basic care for homeless girls
10. Encourage the spirit of volunteerism by being lead volunteer
11. Provide hope to hopeless and helpless child girls in our community
12. Bring together Ethiopians's resources to support needy girls
